Fit + Well Studio Oceanside

It’s May! A new month offers a fresh start. This month our focus is self care. We got a jumpstart on this month’s theme when we got to know and take a class at a boutique fitness studio in downtown Oceanside.

The downtown core of Oceanside is changing. If you knew it a couple years ago you will be surprised how different it is today. It is even changing by the month. Babette Wolf, the owner of Fit + Well Studio , pointed this during a chat with our readers after an intense Barre class we took at her studio last month.

I lived in the area years ago and then came back. I know exactly what Babette is describing. Every time I visit downtown Oceanside I discover a new business front, or great eatery, or inspiring new business like Fit + Well Studio. Fit + Well is a small boutique studio that teaches Pilates, Yoga, and Barre workouts and offers personal training as well as health and nutrition Coaching. It is tucked away in a brightly lit and vibrant side street know as Artist Alley.

Studio owner Babette and Barre instructor Lisa are vivacious and care about the experience their class participants have. They do not churn out a class the way you might experience in a large gym group class. They offer insightful adjustments to protect your body movement and increase your strength. You can feel how they want you to succeed in the class and enjoy it. They intentionally keep their class sizes small. A small group of our readers got to experience this first hand. We had the privilege of taking a class alongside some of our readers to experience the studio together. We recommend trying it for yourself if it sounds like your kind of self care.

Milmomtip: The studio is adjacent to the Oceanside Thursday Farmer’s Market. Take a Thursday morning class and plan to grab some Farmer’s Market finds afterwards. Ask a fellow Milmom friend to come along and make it the ultimate #Momfriend date.
