October is a great month to be a kid in the San Diego area. There are over 40 museums and attractions in the area that offer free admission to children under 12! It begins October 1st and runs until October 31st. There is a list of all participating attractions at the end of the article.
Kids Free October is a signature program spearheaded by The San Diego Museum Council. It has become an annual tradition for a few years running. This initiative is managed through a partnership between San Diego Museum Council, California Arts Council, Mission Federal Credit Union and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Go to the San Diego Museum Council Website and enter your email address and zip code, then you will be given a coupon to present at any of the listed attraction for free entry for up to two children under the age of 12. You can also pick up a coupon at any local Mission Federal Credit Union branch. Go ahead and get your coupon today and make you plan for which attractions you will take your family to this October!!
This initiative has caught the attention of many local restaurants, hotels, and attractions. Many of them offer special deals, discounts, and free offerings for children during the month of October! Ask your favorite attractions and watch the social media sites of local favorite hotspots like the San Diego Zoo and Legoland -they often offer free children’s admission with the purchase of an adult ticket all month long.
