LEGOLAND California’s 20th Birthday Celebration

Imagine where you were twenty years ago. The year 1999. Before the turn of the century when Y2K loomed mysteriously.

That is the year the LEGOLAND California park in Carlsbad first opened. This year they are celebrating their birthday. Here are two things local families need to know:

  • All children under aged 3-12 get free admission to the park on their birthday! Make sure to bring proof of birth date to the park on the day. The LEGOLAND website details what documents they will accept for proof. Children under the age of three are always free!

  • From now until March 15 any child visiting LEGOLAND with a paid ticket can upgrade to a Birthday Pass for FREE! No additional fees. The Birthday Pass will allow them entry into the LEGOLAND Park everyday until December 25, 2019 (NB the birthday pass does not include the Water Park, SEA LIFE Aquarium, or Brick-or-Treat party nights)

The 20th Birthday promotions are great ways to get your young kids into LEGOLAND. If you want to price out tickets or annual passes with features like included parking or access to the Water Park remember to check with ITT office on base for the military discounted tickets, three day hopper tickets, and annual passes. Last time we asked at the kiosks in the park they did not sell military discounted annual passes at the park. You need to get them at your ITT or MWR office on base. Locals with Costco memberships should keep their eyes open early in the year for discounted annual Play Passes which sometimes lower in price from the base cost of $115. They are currently listed for $99 and last year dropped to $89. Be on the lookout for it to happen again this year!

Happy Birthday, LEGOLAND California! MilMomAdventures looks forward to celebrating with you all year long.
