Restaurant Week is an event that many major cities host. Restaurants participate by offering a three course dinner menu (and sometimes lunch as well) at a fixed price point. As an example, in the upcoming San Diego Restaurant Week many restaurants are putting together three course dinner menus that range from $20-$50 (and lunch menus that range from $10-20).
Restaurant Week is an opportunity to go out and try somewhere new, to try a variety of food, and try it at a price that is lower than it would typically cost to order three courses at that restaurant.
It is also a great opportunity to plan a date with your spouse or to catch up with good friends.
San Diego Restaurant Week is happening from January 20-27. Over 180 restaurants are participating from as far north as Oceanside all the way down to the city of San Diego. The website makes it easy to search for a restaurant by location, type of food, and price point. Well-known special occasion romantic spots like The Marine Room (which we recently wrote about here) participate as well as hip new up and coming eateries. There is something for everyone to enjoy.
Call a girlfriend for lunch, schedule a babysitter for a date, or treat yourself! Be sure to make reservations ahead of time. Restaurant week is a great reason to catch up with someone and try amazing food. Take advantage of this great event…and tell us what new places you try.
