What is your favorite memory in 2020 so far? . . Traveling together is something we all look forward to. To soak in the time together and the memories. Time seems to move faster the older we get, and family time becomes more important. . . Wellness to this girl means friend dates to Disneyland. Okay, not all the time because that would be $$$. But when able, this allows for emotional, mental and physical recharging and friendship growth. Let’s talk Wellness. There are so many levels of wellness, and I am not just saying kale chips and egg whites. Just like there are different levels, there are also different definitions - eating good food, mental balance, feeling emotionally sound, fiscal responsibility. If we are honest balancing all those is difficult, especially in seasons of stress or the unknown. That is why @independentorg puts together a virtual wellness summit annually especially for first responder and military families. This year it is March 2-7. Self-care is valuable and allows us to take care of others. The virtual aspect means attending from anywhere, anytime allowing for flexibility to listen to the podcasts and audio sessions at your convenience. Oh, and did I mention that General Admission is FREE. There is an All-Access pass with extra perks and a virtual swag bag if interested (DM for a discount code if interested) but the goal is for every military family member and first responder family to be able to attend without worry of cost. Military spouse is one of the many hats I wear. Fellow military spouse Maria with @movingwiththemilitary started the trend of the #milspousememechallenge. Here is my version of a few of the many faces of parts of military life - PCS (permanent change of station- moving), deployment and the annual military ball are definite points in a military life that create drastically different faces as you can see. . .
